Announcing Law Day Essay and Poster Contests

The Austin Bar Association is offering its annual essay and poster contests to high school and elementary school students.

The 2015 Law Day theme is Magna Carta. Students competing in the essay contest will write a response to “How has Magna Carta impacted civil liberties?”  The essay contest is open to students in the Austin area, grades 9-12. Cash prizes are available for the top three essays.

The poster contest is open to elementary school students in grades K-5, with students competing to win a gift box of art supplies.

Deadlines for both contests have been extended to Wednesday, March 25 at 5:00 p.m.

All entries must be submitted to the Austin Bar Association Offices, 816 Congress Ave., Suite 700 Austin, TX 78701 or emailed to Nancy Gray.
