Judge Darlene Byrne Sworn in as President of NCJFCJ

Congratulations to Judge Darlene Byrne of Travis County Byrne sworn in 126th Judicial District Court for being sworn in as president of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.

The 78th annual conference, Rethink, Reimagine and Redefine Justice for Children and Families was held in Austin on July 26-29. Byrne received honors while being inducted into her new role at the inaugural “Justice Innovation Celebration” on Tuesday, July 28 at the JW Marriott.

“The Justice Innovation Celebration was an opportunity to bring community leaders together to raise awareness of the many issues that the NCJFCJ works on to improve the lives of the families and children who seek justice,” said Judge Byrne.

Several community leaders attended the conference with Byrne, including Austin mayor, Stephen Adler and first lady, Diane Land. Overall, the conference hosted more than 450 judges and legal professionals from throughout the country.
