Austin Bar to Conduct Preference Poll in February

The Austin Bar is conducting its biennial Preference Poll from Feb. 1 – 12, 2016.

In the private preference poll, members of the Austin Bar will be able to rate judicial candidates as well as candidates running for District Attorney and sheriff in the upcoming Travis County election. The Austin Bar Preference Poll gives Austin residents a chance to see how local attorneys evaluate their colleagues in the legal community.

If you are a current member of the Austin Bar or ACDLA, you should have received an email from austinbar@ballotboxonline.com with a link to the Preference Poll on Feb. 1. If you didn’t receive the email, please check your spam filter. The only way to access the poll is through the email. If you are unable to locate the email, please call the Austin Bar Association at 512.472.0279.

Joint primary elections will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Early voting will take place from Feb. 16 – Feb. 26, with local election day following on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

The Austin Bar does not endorse any particular candidate, but it does encourage all Austin Bar members to cast a vote in the Preference Poll. Your involvement could greatly impact the future of Austin’s legal community.
