Austin Lawyer’s Auxiliary Open to All

Interested in meeting other people who support the Austin Bar Association AND enjoy having a great time?   Then you are invited to join the Austin Lawyers’ Auxiliary.  Founded in 1950, this dynamic organization provides scholarships for University of Texas School of Law students, conducts book drives for Dell Children’s Hospital, partners with the Austin Bar Foundation in supporting the Free Legal Advice Clinics for Veterans, and offers a variety of fun and fascinating events throughout the year.

In 2015-2016, the Austin Lawyers’ Auxiliary enjoyed guided tours of both the LBJ Presidential Library (featuring the award-winning Beatles exhibit) and historical sites along Congress Avenue.  They also had a special private tour of the Texas Supreme Court as guests of Justice Paul W. Green.  Members and their guests attended a performance of Ann at Zach Theater.  In addition, the ALA hosted a jewelry and fashion show at Anna Gray Gifts and Jewelry Boutique, which also featured fall styles from W by Worth and Forever Styled, accompanied by wine and hors d’oeuvres.  They ended the year with the 2016 Couples’ Party: Monet’s Garden at the home of Joette Reger for ALA members and their guests.

In addition to their philanthropic activities and member events, the ALA provides an opportunity to connect with others and forge new friendshiAuxiliaryps.   If you are new to Austin, new to the legal profession, or just interested in meeting some wonderful people while supporting the mission of the Austin Bar Foundation, please contact President Anne Winckler,  or 512.328.2720, and join them for one of their upcoming events.   Membership is open to all.
