TCWLA Holds Annual Luncheon

Four Women Lawyers Honored with Pathfinder Awards

On Jan. 19, 2017, the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association held its annual Pathfinders’ Luncheon to recognize local women attorneys who have blazed trails and used their law degrees in inspiring ways. TCWLA’s 2017 Pathfinders are:

  • Brook Brown, McGinnis Lochridge;
  • Carla Cox, Jackson Walker;
  • Anne Morgan, City Attorney for the City of Austin; and
  • Anne Wynne, Ikard Wynne.

Over 135 local attorneys, members of the judiciary, and guests were in attendance. Attendees mixed and mingled prior to the start of the luncheon, and then settled in for TCWLA President-Elect Danielle Ahlrich’s introduction of the impressive award winners’ backgrounds and accomplishments. The honorees then gave speeches, where each shared her personal story of how she achieved success, challenges she faced, and lessons learned along the way. The honorees also discussed the continued need for parity for women lawyers, and the importance of mentorship and community involvement.
