Austin Bar Law Day Speaker Turk Pipkin Presents the World Premiere of One Peace at a Time, April 14

Time: 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. - Pre-screening reception honoring five Nobel winners (AMOA); 8:00 p.m. - Screening of One Peace at a Time (Paramount Theatre)
Cost: $250 per person to attend both the reception and screening; $25 per person to attend the screening only

One Peace at a Time is Turk Pipkin's inspiring look at the possibility of providing basic rights - water, nutrition, healthcare, education, opportunity, and more - to every child on earth. Each of the evening's Nobel honorees plays a key role in the film.

Austin Bar and AYLA Board Elections Begin April 16

Another year has passed and it is again time to elect new members to the Austin Bar and AYLA Boards. Voting shall be conducted via electronic ballot from Thursday, April 16 through Thursday, May 7. For information such as candidates and online voting instructions, please click here.

Bench Bar is back with 6.0 hours of MCLE and plenty of entertainment. The Austin Bar has arranged for breakout sessions featuring panels covering bankruptcy basics to mandatory blood tests in DWI cases to preemption issues.

Attendees may choose to take part in a Global Cuisine Hands-On Cooking Class at Whole Foods, the Rainmaker Golf Classic at Barton Creek Resort, and a happy hour honoring Austin's newest judges. And don't forget about AYLA 50th Birthday Bash following the end of Bench Bar on Friday.
