Travis County Civil Courts Online Information Seminars, May 14 and 28

The Travis County Court Administrator's Office is introducing a new online service that allows users to submit Settings Requests and Ready Announcements 24 hours a day. Ready Announcements are still subject to the timing requirements set forth in Travis County Local Rules 3.1 and 3.2, but this new service allows users to submit their requests and announcements outside the normal 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. operating hours of the Court Administrator's Office.

Please join them at an informative seminar on Friday, May 14 or Friday, May 28. You will have the opportunity to register to use the new service at both of these sessions!

Robert W. Calvert Chapter of American Inn of Court Accepting Applications, May 25

The Robert W. Calvert Chapter of the American Inn of Court is accepting applications for new members through May 25. The American Inn of Court movement is modeled after the English Inns of Court system and is composed of over 30,000 members in 48 states and the District of Columbia. The Calvert chapter meets monthly to examine issues related to ethics and professional conduct in the field of law. Texas RioGrande Legal Aid Needs Your Help

Texas RioGrande Legal Aid is attempting to identify the most pressing needs for no-cost civil legal services for eligible clients in our service area. Because there are approximately 20,000 eligible clients for each of their attorneys, they are not able to accept every potential client who needs help.

They are requesting your help in gaining opinions and information about the most pressing legal needs in our community. Please take the time click here and complete the survey. The survey will be available through July 2010.
