Courthouse Survey Launched

On Wednesday, May 5, the Austin Bar Association launched a survey of Austin Bar members requesting input on current and future needs surrounding court services and space.

Travis County is preparing a Strategic Needs Analysis and Facilities Master Plan for its Central Campus to plan for the appropriate space for county services in the downtown area, from today until 2035. The Analysis and Plan includes consideration of a new civil courthouse.

Input from area attorneys is key in creating a courthouse that meets the current and future needs of the citizens of Travis County. The survey was sent to all Austin Bar members for whom we have e-mail addresses. If you did not receive an e-mail, please check your spam filter, and set it to accept e-mails from BallotBox@BallotBoxOnline.com.

If you have further comments about the courthouse plans, would like to participate in the Courthouse Subcommittee, or would like to publicly share your experiences regarding the current courthouse, please contact Kat Hinson at Kat@austinbar.org.
