Bench Bar 2010 Brainstorming Session Notes Available

At the Austin Bar Association's 2010 Bench Bar Conference in April, attendees enjoyed a brainstorming session. The Bar is now making available the notes from that session here.

The goal of the session was to exchange information and perspectives and to raise issues for possible follow-up action. The notes as presented here were intended to capture each speaker's opinion, but do not represent any decision or opinion of anyone other than the speaker.

Support the AYLA Promise of "Justice for All"

The pledge of equal access to justice needs your help! 65-70 percent of all Texans in poverty need legal help. Sadly, most are unable to get it. The Texas Young Lawyers Association is hosting a contest and recognition opportunity to promote the purchase of "Justice for All" license plates. $25 proceeds of the $30 purchase price for each plate will go toward a special account supporting a broad range of pro bono civil legal services to low-income Texans.

AYLA is participating in this contest and will assist anyone who wishes to join in on this meaningful, fun way to provide public access to legal aid. To learn more, visit "And Justice for All" on the web or contact Kennon Peterson at kennonpeterson@hotmail.com.
