Topic: The State of Civil Rights in the State of Texas
Speaker: Mimi Marziani, Executive Director, Texas Civil Rights Project

Ms. Marziani will discuss pressing voting rights and election law issues in Texas, including updates about the State’s photo ID law, voter registration system, and ongoing redistricting litigation. As the Executive Director of the Texas Civil Rights Project and an Adjunct Professor of Election Law and Policy at University of Texas School of law, Ms. Marziani has an extensive background in civil rights advocacy and expertise in election law.
