National Author Leads Ethics CLE
Nationally renowned author and attorney James Grippando will speak on his book Leapholes and its theme of the importance of ethical conduct by lawyers.
In the book, this theme is expressed as a conflict between "Legal Eagles" and "Legal Evil." One example of this gives student readers the historical background of the conflict over legalizing slavery in the United States and the difficulties lawyers and clients face to challenge and overcome socially and legally accepted conduct that may otherwise be "Legal Evil."
Location: Austin Bar Association, 816 Congress Ave., Suite 700
CLE: 1.0 hours Ethics
Time: Noon
Cost: Free
Please RSVP to Brooke Williams at Brooke@austinbar.org by noon, Thursday, April 30.
Participants in the Austin Bar's Leapholes program in area schools will receive copies of the Leapholes book at the CLE. To volunteer or for more information, please contact Brooke Williams at Brooke@austinbar.org or 472-0279, x108.
