The Austin Lawyer is a monthly publication that focuses on timely law-related issues and topics relevant to the membership of the Austin Bar Association.

Articles are developed under the supervision of the Communications Director and are written, edited, and prepared for publication with the assistance of the Editor, who receives guidance and direction from the Austin Bar Publications Committee. Our authors are attorneys, judges, and others interested in the development of the law.

The Austin Lawyer publication is an important member benefit offered to our more than 3,500 members and is intended to provide ongoing information about the organizational and public activities of the Austin Bar Association and its constituent sections and committees, as well as the greater Austin legal community.

The purpose of the Austin Lawyer is to explore related trends and developments; to provide a forum for the expression of ideas, concerns, and opinions; and to stimulate debate on professional and public issues that affect Austin lawyers.
