Q: What is People's Law School (PLS)?
A: A program that provides free legal information to the public.
Q: Who provides the legal information?
A: Local lawyers volunteer their time to provide legal information on topics that might be important and interesting to the general public.
Q: Who sponsors PLS?
A: PLS is sponsored by the Austin Bar Association and the Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas in partnership with Conley-Guerro Senior Activity Center and the lawyer volunteers who provide their time and expertise.
Q: Where is it held?
A: Conley-Guerro Senior Activity Center at 808 Nile St. (off Pleasant Valley Ave., north of E. 7th St.)
Q: What about registration?
A: It is free to attend. You are encouraged to register online; however, registration is not necessary, and walk-ups are welcome.
Q: What about parking?
A: Free Parking is available in the Parking Lot behind the Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center or on the street. Click here for directions.
Q: Can I get legal advice for my particular question?
A: No. This is an informational session only with time for general questions and answers at the end of each classroom session. The lawyers will NOT be able to meet with you on an individual basis. If you need to speak with lawyer to get legal advice, call the Lawyer Referral Service at 472-8303 for assistance locating a lawyer.

Q. What if I need special accommodations?
A. The location is ADA compliant for wheelchairs. If you need a deaf interpreter, please contact the Austin Bar Association by Thursday, Sept. 15 so arrangements can be made.
