2018 Judicial Preference Poll Deploys Jan. 25
Current members of the Austin Bar Association and the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association will be able to participate in the 2018 Judicial Preference poll. The short poll will allow local attorneys who have a working knowledge of the judiciary to indicate which candidate running in contested Travis County judicial races are best qualified to serve in the position for which he or she is running.
Seventeen candidates in seven contested Travis County races will be listed on the poll. The purpose of the 2018 Austin Bar Preference Poll is to give the general public an opportunity to see how local attorneys evaluate their colleagues in the legal community. The results are strictly the opinions of the individual attorneys returning their ballots and are not intended as an endorsement of any candidate or candidates by either the Austin Bar Association, ACDLA, or any affiliated organization.
An email with a link to the ballot will be sent on Jan. 25, 2018 from austinbar@ballotboxonline.com. Members are asked to add this email address to their safe senders list to ensure it doesn’t go to their spam filters. The ballots are linked to members’ email addresses. No Bar Card numbers are necessary to vote. Please call the Austin Bar office at 512.472.0279 if you have trouble accessing the poll. The poll will remain open until 5 p.m. on Feb. 8, 2018.
