Austin Bar / AYLA Leadership Academy

leadership academy

When: January through May
Chairs:  Ayeola Williams and Elliott Beck
Judicial Liaison: Judge Karin Crump

Members of the 2018 Leadership Academy class at the Texas Supreme Court with Justice Debra Lehrmann.

The Austin Bar/AYLA Leadership Academy was established to assist Austin-area lawyers in making a difference in our community, serving the Bar, and promoting professional development.

Each year a class of approximately 20-30 members is selected from applications submitted by lawyers of all areas of practice, firm size, and levels of experience.

This year, due to COVID-19, the Leadership Academy will be going virtual. While this is a big change from the old normal, participants can expect the same quality programming and new opportunities for meaningful networking and engagement.

The Leadership Academy includes a mandatory retreat, followed by a series of five mid-day presentations during which participants will network with and enjoy presentations by leaders in public policy, government, the private sector, non-profit organizations, and the Bar. The course culminates with a class project.

CLICK HERE  to apply for the 2021 Leadership Academy Class.  Application deadline is Fri. Dec. 11, 2020.
If you have any questions or issues with the Google application form, please email Ayeola Williams.

There is a $150 administrative/enrollment fee to cover the class materials and administrative fees. Scholarships may be available to those who need assistance.
