Bankruptcy Section CLE

Topic: Point/Counter-Point: A Debate on Bankruptcy Topics
Speakers: Todd B. Headden, Office of the Texas Attorney General; Charlie Shelton, Law Office of Hajar Peters; Brian Engle, Law Office of Barrett, Daffin, Frappier, Turner & Engle; David Stern, Law Office of Frank Weinberg & Black; Dorothy Butler, Dorothy Butler Law Firm; Jesse Moore, Texas Department of Banking

The debates will be split between consumer and business bankruptcy topics and will be based upon statutory, case law, and practical considerations. Topics will range from whether passive retention of collateral violates the automatic stay (consumer topic) to the disinterested standard for hiring bankruptcy professionals (business topic).
