FREE LEGAL ADVICE CLINICS FOR VETERANS
The Austin Bar Association offers free legal advice to military veterans and their families on a monthly basis at the Austin VA Outpatient Clinic. We have had to cancel in-person clinics indefinitely due to Covid-19 virus. However, we will be offering Virtual Free Legal Advice clinics in its place. Attorney volunteers will provide brief, legal advice.
Veterans, please note: Veterans, please note: Veterans must apply online here to receive assistance by Friday July 10th or call 512-472-0279×110. Attorney volunteers will not be able to provide legal services such as wills or filing for divorce at the clinic. We will provide local legal resources if further legal assistance is needed.
To best assist you, please bring any paperwork that is relevant to your case. This includes copies of all pertinent claims, correspondence and rulings from the court, agency, or VA. If you are seeking veterans benefits or a discharge upgrade, please bring a copy of your DD214 and any evidence related to your claim. Benefit counselors are available at the VA Commission office onsite.
Contact Isabel Salazar for more information. Isabel is not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice.
There are no CLE Credits for this event.
