Labor & Employment Section Remote CLE

Topic: A Veteran Employment Lawyer Reflects: What I Wish I’d Known Back Then…or, What I Learned Anyway
Speaker: Judy Osborn

Looking back on her 39-year career as a lawyer, veteran employment law practitioner Judy Osborn has managed to link some of her lessons learned to actual ethics guidance found in the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. What good comes from rendering public interest legal service? How do you avoid practicing outside your area of competence? What does it mean to charge “reasonable fees” and how do you effectively collect them? What does the rendering of candid advice sound like?
