Nuts & Bolts of Handling a Remote Jury Trial in Travis County Civil Courts: What You Need to Know Before You Go (REMOTE)
The Travis County Civil District & County Judges, together with the Office of Court Administration and the Austin Bar Association’s Jury Trial Task Force, are launching a pilot program to test jury trials via Zoom, beginning in mid-August 2020. During the pilot program, jury selection and the trials will be conducted remotely. To participate, all parties and their attorneys must agree to use the Zoom platform. One-day summary jury trials and remote binding trials that can be tried in less than three days will be prioritized. Join this CLE to learn how to advocate in a summary jury trial and best practices for trying a remote jury trial.
