The Austin Bar Association celebrated the 22nd annual Austin Adoption Day, where 10 families finalized the adoption of children from the foster system.
 
Austin Adoption Day is a county-wide event with volunteers and sponsors from both the private and public sectors. The families' cases were presided over by district court judges and Third Court of Appeals justices.

The Administrative Law Section of the Austin Bar is hosting a social on Thursday, November 16, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Brass Tap in The Triangle, 815 W. 47th St. Suite 103. The Austin Bar’s Veterans Legal Assistance Program (VLAP) has received a $21,500 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation. The grant will be used to improve, train, and provide additional support to program volunteers by enhancing their registration experience and provide secured access to view engagement details, complete onboarding, and find opportunities that match their skills, interests, and schedules.
