A recent LexisNexis survey of  1,176 US lawyers, 1,239 Law students, and 1,765 consumers found that the legal market is significantly more aware of generative AI than the general population (88% vs. 57%). In one of the first and most extensive surveys of its kind, the research was analyzed to better understand the overall awareness of generative AI, current use of generative AI tools in daily work, and willingness to adopt generative AI tools for various legal matters. If you would like a brief presentation of how Lexis uses AI to deliver more accurate results, much faster than the competition, call Greg Miller at 737-701-4248. Visit our website.

He graduated magna cum laude from St. Edward’s University where he was student body president, played varsity basketball, and was a Presidential Award winner. He graduated from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he served as editor of the SMU Law Review, Barristers, was a member of the John Marshall Moot Court Team and was an officer of the Hispanic American Law Students Association.

Since 2008, Jesse has proudly served as a leader of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin (“HBAA”); including serving as the HBAA President and Co-Chair of the HBAA’s annual Hispanic Heritage Luncheon. In 2022, Jesse helped HBAA raise over $108,000 for its scholarship program!

Jesse has recently opened the law office of Jesse Butler. His work experience includes forming LLCs, commercial litigation, and creditor's rights for 20 years. He represents a wide range of clients in Federal and State Courts all over Texas. Jesse also has experience in several areas of litigation, such as business, real estate, construction, nursing homes/healthcare, commercial, bankruptcy, product liability, toxic tort, administrative law, general business, professional liability, wind storm, and insurance defense (both first party and third party). In his newly formed firm, Jesse's focus is on LLC formations, debt collection law, and outside general counsel services.

Jesse was honored by his peers as a 2010 - 2016 Super Lawyer-Rising Star by Law & Politics magazine (and published in Texas Monthly). In addition, he received the "AV Preeminent" Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell (their highest rating) from 2014 to the present. He also received the 2023 Top 50 Lawyers In America award.

Jesse shares this part of his personal lived experience: “One interesting aspect of my life is that my biological father was an abusive alcoholic who drank himself to death and my biological mother abandoned me when I was three and a half years old. Despite this childhood, I proudly became the first person in my family to attend law school.”

Jesse, thank you for your tireless work in supporting the HBAA, the Austin Bar Association, and serving as an example of leadership and professionalism. Your mentorship of young lawyers will show them the path to success by watching you achieve!
