Austin Bar and AYLA Members are invited to attend “Travis County Court Townhall – Returning to the Courthouse.” Chat with Travis County Civil, Family, and Criminal Court Judges to discuss the return to in-person proceedings and other updates in the New Year. Attendees will be able to choose their breakout room in accordance with their area of practice to speak directly with the judges.

The Austin Bar Association will a host a series of judicial forums for candidates seeking judicial office in Travis County. These are virtual events for “members only” allowing you to hear from the candidates themselves. You can also earn .50 MCLE credit for each forum.

The Austin Bar seeks board nominations for 2022-2023. If you’re interested in running for a position as a director or an officer, send your resume indicating the position by Friday, Feb. 25 to: Austin Bar Association. ATTN: Nominating Committee, 712 W. 16th St., Austin, TX 78701. You may also contact Austin Bar Executive Director DeLaine Ward.  Director positions are two years; officer positions are one year. Nominees for the office of president-elect must have served at least two years on the board of directors prior to assuming office. Decisions made by the Nominating Committee will be announced on or before Tuesday, March 15.
