Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas will return to in-person legal advice clinics starting on June 29th from 6-8pm. The clinic will be held at Austin Community College-Highland (Accelerator Lab). VLS is seeking attorney, non-attorney volunteers and interpreters for the legal advice clinics. Interested in the Barbara Jordan Inn of Court? Send your application today! Inn members include Texas Supreme Court and appellate justices, civil and criminal court trial judges, Texas Law professors, and attorneys who practice in civil litigation and criminal litigation, including commercial, probate, immigration, real estate, family law, and government counsel. The Barbara Jordan American Inn of Court strives for diversity in both its membership and in its practice areas.  The Inn focuses on members who have not had the Inn experience before—criminal law, family law, immigration law, women, attorneys of color, solo/ small firm, LGBTQ, etc.

Monthly dinner and program meetings are held from September through April from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month in downtown Austin, with an orientation meeting in September and a social event with other Austin-area Inns in May.

All volunteers must attend an Expo Volunteer Attorney Training CLE via Zoom; access to the CLE will only be provided to those who sign up for a shift.
